Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe

On arrival into Entebbe you will be met by our airport assistance team and transferred your hotel where you stay for one night.

Overnight: 2 Friends Beach Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)

 

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

In the morning, depart on a shared light aircraft flight to Buhoma. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Mahogany Springs Lodge, where you stay for two nights.

In the afternoon you will be taken on a community walking tour which offers an insight into the local communities, including a visit to the tea plantation, local healer, gin production, schools and hospital.

Overnight: Mahogany Springs Lodge (Full Board Plus – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Activities)

 

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic mountain gorillas.

In the afternoon, you will be escorted to the Ride 4 A Woman project which is a community initiative helping women find work by making local crafts.

Overnight: Mahogany Springs Lodge (Full Board Plus – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Activities)

 

Day 4: Nairobi

Today you will be transferred by light aircraft back to Entebbe where you connect onwards with a regional flight to Kenya.

On arrival into Nairobi you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel where you stay for one night. The hotel overlooks the National Park and animals can often be viewed from the restaurant terrace.

Day 5: Nairobi

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full-day private tour of Nairobi. Attractions include:

* The Nairobi Animal Orphanage; Treatment and rehabilitation centre for wild animals, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards and small primates.

* Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage; A wonderful sanctuary for orphaned baby Elephants where they are cared for and ultimately released into the wild. Every day visitors can watch the elephants take their daily mud-bath and learn about their care from their dedicated keepers.  

* Karen Blixen Coffee Garden (lunch stop). The manor house is part of the farm where author Karen Blixen lived. Her autobiography ‘Out of Africa’ inspired the famous film of the same name.

* Giraffe Centre; Located next to the famous Giraffe Manor. The centre is a breeding project for endangered Rothchild Giraffe which are re-introduced into parks within Kenya. You can hand-feed the giraffes and learn about the program. (These are the same giraffes who visit Giraffe Manor).

Days 6-8: Masai Mara

Today, journey through Kenya’s highlands before reaching the Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge where you stay for three nights.

Throughout your stay, explore the vast plains of the Masai Mara on private game drives. The reserve is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south and home to the Big Five. Game viewing is excellent here, particularly during migration season.

Overnight: Masai Mara Sopa Lodge (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

 

Day 9: Nakuru

Today you will depart the Masai Mara to the Rift Valley. Keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mai-Mahiu, before arriving at Lake Nakuru.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge in time for sunset.

Overnight: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

 

Day 10: Lake Naivasha

After an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and then depart for Lake Naivasha’s ‘Crescent Island.’

Enjoy an afternoon boat ride on the lake before returning to the camp in time for dinner.

Days 11-12: Amboseli National Park

This morning, journey across the Athi Plains to Amboseli National Park where you stay for two nights; situated at the foot of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.

Throughout your stay enjoy twice daily game drives. Optimise your chances of spotting the wide variety of animals at different times of the day. If the weather is clear you’ll also see the stunning snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro appear on the horizon.

Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

 

Day 13: End of Itinerary

Following an early morning game drive, catch your last views of Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli.

Arrive at Nairobi’s ‘Eka Hotel’ by late afternoon, where a day room and buffet dinner is pre-booked.

Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta airport in time for your onward flight arrangements.
