Day 1: Entebbe

On arrival into Entebbe you will be met and assisted to your hotel where you stay for one night.

Time permitting, we can arrange for additional activities within Entebbe (extra cost applies). Contact us for more information.

Day 2: Kibale Forest National Park

This morning you will enjoy a scenic journey to Kibale Forest.

**Light aircraft flight options are available at additional cost.

Enjoy an afternoon guided tour of the crater lakes region and communities.

Overnight: Turaco Treetops (Full Board Plus – Dinner, Bed, Breakfast, Lunch and Activities)

 

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park

Spend the morning searching for the famous chimpanzees of Kibale Forest. It should be noted that because chimpanzees move quickly through the trees sightings are not guaranteed, however, Kibale Forest is the most reliable location.

In the afternoon, embark on a nature tour of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of birds and small primates.

**Upgrade to a full-day with the chimps on the habituation experience and follow them from waking to nesting. Extra cost applies.

 

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today, journey to Bwindi National Park; passing the equator line marker where you will stop for a photo opportunity and rest break.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided community walking tour. Alternatively, opt to have a cookery lesson or basket weaving lesson at the Ride 4 A Woman Homestay (pre-booking required for the lessons).

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic mountain gorillas.

In the afternoon, you may wish to browse the craft markets, walk to the river or visit the local school and orphanage. There is no additional cost for these activities.

Day 6: End of Itinerary

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip. Depart on a short light aircraft flight back to Entebbe where you continue with your onward arrangements.
