Day 1: Entebbe & the start of the adventure

The start of your advenure is the lakeside town of Entebbe where you meet your private guide for the week. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your cosy guesthouse and a good night’s sleep in preparation for the excitement ahead.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park

Journey over the Equator to Lake Mburo National Park for game drives and an afternoon boat cruise. Get your camera ready for the hippos, crocodiles and elephants at the water’s edge.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Journey through the Kigezi Highlands, often called the ‘Switzerland of Africa’, with its stunning views to the small town of Buhoma on the edge of Bwindi Forest; your home for the next two nights.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Come face to face with the great apes as you trek the mountain gorillas on the wildlife encounter of a lifetime.

Later on, immerse yourself in the local community and gain a fascinating insight into daily life.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Continue your journey onwards to the southern region of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as Ishasha; the home of the tree-climbing lions. Get ready to spot them and all the other fabulous wildlife on offer.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy an early morning game drive, if you depart early enough you may even spot a leopard on the move in the early morning sun.

Later on, journey by boat on Kazinga Channel, home a variety of water birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and waterbucks.

Day 7: Kibale Forest National Park

Kibale Forest, the home to Uganda’s chimpanzees is your next destination. Here you meet the second of the great apes as you trek the chimpanzees and marvel at their speed and often noisy interaction with one another.

Day 8: Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary & return to Entebbe

A final taste of the huge variety Uganda has to offer with a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetlands. With over 200 species of birds and 8 species of primates there is something to see at every turn.

Arrive back in Entebbe, having seen and experienced more than you could ever imagine!
