Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe

On arrival into Entebbe you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel.

Time permitting you may wish to visit the Botanical Gardens, or enjoy a guided cycling or walking tour of the city.

Overnight: Best Western Garden Premier Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport where you depart on a shared light aircraft flight to Bwindi Forest.

You can browse the local craft market, meet the BATWA community, enjoy a guided village tour or visit the Ride 4 A Woman project and learn about the valuable work they do in the community. The lodge also offers a range of in-house activities.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today you will enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you come face to face with the giant mountain gorillas of Bwindi!

In the afternoon, you may wish to walk to the river or craft market or book one of the many activities available through the lodge. We recommend a trip to their Bwindi Bar in the village….. you have earned a drink!

Day 4: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer with your guide around 1 hour into the south of the Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha sector) where you stay for two nights.

This is the area famously known for tree-climbing lions. Your guide will take you on morning and afternoon game drive before you return to the camp to relax by the river and reflect on your adventures.

Overnight: Ishasha Wilderness Camp (Fully Inclusive – All Meals, Bed, Fees, Activities and Local Drinks)

Day 5: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy morning and afternoon private game drives in the park searching for tree-climbing lions and other game.

In the afternoon, why not book in for a relaxing massage or take a walk by the river with a cold beer.

* Alternative: This day can be swapped for an extra gorilla trek by staying an extra night in Bwindi instead  / extra costs apply*

Overnight: Ishasha Wilderness Camp (Fully Inclusive – All Meals, Bed, Fees, Activities and Local Drinks)

Day 6: Fort Portal

Today you will embark on a shared safari boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Keep a look out for hippo, Nile crocodiles, buffalo and elephants at the waters edge.

Enjoy lunch before continuing towards the crater lakes region where you stay at a property with one of the best views in Africa!

Stop for a photo opportunity as you cross the equator en-route.

Overnight: Kyaninga Lodge (Full Board – Dinner, Bed, Breakfast and Lunch)

Day 7: Fort Portal

Enjoy a morning searching for the famous chimpanzees of Kibale Forest. It should be noted that because chimpanzees move quickly through the trees sightings are not guaranteed, however, Kibale Forest offers the most reliable sightings.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature tour of the Bigodi wetland sanctuary which is home to a variety of birds and small primates.

** Upgrade to a full-day with the chimps on the habituation experience and follow them from waking to nesting. Extra cost applies.

Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer by shared light aircraft to Murchison Falls National Park.

On arrival, enjoy a game drive en-route to the lodge. Look out for elephant, buffalo, lions, giraffe, antelope, hippo, crocodiles and leopards. This is also a great place to spot the giant shoebill birds.

Overnight: Bakers Lodge (Fully Inclusive – All Meals, Bed, Fees, Activities and Local Drinks)

Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park

Today, enjoy a shared boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls and game drive in one of the best game-viewing locations in Uganda.

Day 10: End of Itinerary

Depart on a shared light aircraft flight to Entebbe. Transfer to the Best Western Hotel where a day-room is booked for your use.

Transfer to the airport at your leisure and depart under your own flight arrangements.
