Day 1: Volcanoes National Park

On arrival into Kigali you will be taken on a private city tour, before transferring to the Volcanoes National Park.

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is a community-owned luxury lodge. Every guest directly contributes to the local community and is welcome to get involved with a variety of cultural initiatives. The lodge boasts an incredible volcanoes view and is just minutes from the trekking HQ.

In the afternoon, you can opt to join a village walking tour.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park

Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic mountain gorillas.

You will join a group of no more than eight people in total as you spend one hour observing the gorillas. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest watching these gentle giants. It is amazing to think there are only around 1,000 of these beautiful creatures left but numbers are growing!

In the afternoon, enjoy a shared boat cruise on the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 3: End of Itinerary

Today you will trek the golden monkeys. They are a delight to watch as they spring from tree to tree with their bright bushy tails!

After the trek, transfer back to Kigali. We will drop off at the airport or a city hotel.

** Flight departing after 6:00pm is required.

** Those not wishing to trek the monkeys can deduct $100 per person from the total price or swap for a private city tour of Kigali. **
