Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Fly by light aircraft to Kisoro.

On arrival, enjoy a canoe excursion on Lake Mutanda. Paddle yourselves or soak up the views as your guide propels you through these beautiful waters.

Vehicle support is provided should you choose to hike back to the lodge. The scenery in this area is breath-taking and we will arrange for you to have a packed lunch at the lakes.

Additional afternoon activities may be arranged at the lodge depending on the time available.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic mountain gorillas.

In the afternoon you will be taken on a short guided community walking tour which commences from the lodge and concludes with a scenic viewpoint overlooking all six of the volcanoes.

Day 3: Dar Es Salaam

After breakfast depart on a morning flight back to Entebbe, where you connect with a regional flight departing to Dar Es Salaam (flight excluded).

On arrival you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel.

Overnight: The Southern Sun Hotel (Bed and Breakfast) 

 

Day 4: Ruaha National Park

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for a shared light aircraft flight to Ruaha/Msembe.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your camp where you stay for two nights.

During your stay here you will be taken on shared game drives in the Ruaha Game Reserve. Ruaha is East Africa’s largest National Park and the second largest on the African continent. It is home to some of the largest elephants in Tanzania and a haven of wildlife and birdlife. Crocodiles and hippos thrive in the river and between July & November animals flock to the last remaining water sources offering spectacular close sightings.

Walking safaris are available at extra cost.

Day 5: Ruaha National Park

Enjoy another exciting day in the Ruaha Game Reserve.

Days 6-8: Selous Game Reserve

Today, depart on a shared light aircraft flight to the Selous.

On arrival you will be met and escorted on a game drive en-route to Lake Manze Camp where you stay for three nights.

Lake Manze is located in the Selous Game Reserve which covers more than 5% of Tanzanias total area and is the largest of its kind in Africa. The landscape here is remote and pristine wilderness. The Rufiji River is the lifeblood attracting a wealth of birds, elephants, buffalos and approximately 1,300 of the worlds roughly remaining 4,000 rare wild dogs. Game drives, boating and fly-camping offer guests and unparalleled remote experience.

During your stay here you will be taken on shared game drives and boat trips; scheduled by the camp on arrival.

Days 9-12: Pongwe

Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. On arrival you will be transferred to your resort for a stay of four nights.

Stop off at Stone Town for a short guided tour and lunch en-route.

Pongwe hotel is on the Eastern coast of Zanzibar at the end of the scenic Kiwengwa beach. This is a location known for pristine natural beauty with palm-dotted white sandy beaches and calm clear waters. This tropical beach paradise is ideal for snorkelling and swimming. Fishing trips on traditional dhow boats and boat trips to the dolphins are also popular. Those wishing to explore further can take day trips into the island or visit the forest or historic spice markets
in Stone Town.

Day 13: End of Itinerary

Depart on a shared light aircraft flight to Dar Es Salaam.

On arrival please continue with your own onward arrangements.

** Note: Some international airlines fly directly from Zanzibar alleviating the need to transfer to Dar Es Salaam.
