Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, where you are met and transferred to Ilboru Safari Lodge, located a short distance from Arusha Town Centre.

Overnight: Ilborou Safari Lodge (Bed and Breakfast) 

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Morning at leisure and safari briefing followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, depart Arusha passing through the Masai Steppe filled with picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. Arrive at the village of Mto wa Mbu where you will find Lake Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp ready to welcome you.

Overnight: Lake Manyara Wildlife Camp (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

Day 3: Central Serengeti

After a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park depart for the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. From here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti and you may start spotting game before you enter into the Central Serengeti National Park.

Overnight: Kati Kati Camp (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

Day 4: Central Serengeti

Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park.

It is possible to pre-book an optional early morning balloon safari at extra cost.

Day 5: Karatu

After breakfast, you depart for Ngorongoro. En-route, enjoy a spot of game viewing before continuing on to the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. Descend to Ngorongoro Farm House where you will stay for two nights.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

Day 6: Karatu

A highlight awaits you this morning as you descend through the early morning mists 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater floor is comprised of distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and sandy dunes. It is an awesome wildlife experience and it is possible to see the Big-5 in a relatively small area!

Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

Day 7: Lake Burunge

Depart Ngorongoro Crater and head back through the highlands and the Karatu district, where you can view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations.

Stop for lunch at Lake Burunge Tented Camp, before continuing on to Tarangire Park Gate. Spend the afternoon game viewing and enjoying the sight of majestic baobab trees.

Overnight: Lake Burunge Tented Camp (Full Board – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Enjoy a morning game drive as you exit the park and return to Arusha. After lunch (included) you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro airport where you continue with your own onward arrangements.
