Day 1: Volcanoes National Park

Enjoy a city tour of Kigali (genocide memorial entrance included).

After touring the city, transfer to the edge of the Volcanoes National Park, where you stay for two nights.

In the afternoon you will be taken on a guided village walk to meet the communities who live side by side with the forest. This is also an excellent opportunity to view Rwandan way of life as the women demonstrate basket weaving, cooking and crafts.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park

Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic mountain gorillas.

You will join up to eight people and may spend one hour observing the gorillas as you marvel at their size and gentle nature. It is an extraordinary feeling coming face to face with these incredible creatures.

In the afternoon, you will be taken on a shared boat cruise on the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 3: Arusha

In the morning you will be transferred to Kigali Airport where you connect with a flight to Kilimanjaro.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you stay for one night. Optional tours of Arusha can be arranged at extra cost.

Overnight: Arusha Coffee Lodge (Bed and Breakfast) 

Day 4: Karatu

This morning you will be transferred by your private guide to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive and stop for lunch overlooking the lake.

Continue onward through the Masai farmlands to the Ngoronogoro highlands.  The views from the lodge set the scene for tomorrows epic descent into the Ngorongoro crater.

Day 5: Karatu

Today you journey into the famous Ngorongoro Crater (2,000 feet) to explore one of the world’s largest natural wildlife concentrations.

In the afternoon you may wish to visit a Masaai village (optional activity, additional cost applies).

Days 6-9: Northern Serengeti

In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport where you board a shared light aircraft flight to the Serengeti.

On arrival you will be taken on a game drive whilst en-route to Kaskaz Mara Camp.

During your stay you will be taken on daily shared game drives. This is the perfect location to view the migration and enjoy game sightings, as predators are drawn to the vast numbers of prey gathering for their journey into Kenya.

Day 10: End of Itinerary

After breakfast your guide will take you on a game drive to the airstrip where you depart on a shared light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro Airport and continue with your own onward arrangements.
